Making Decisions

Scenario
Jamie has to take his little brother Ben home from school every day.  Ben has just started school.  Jamie’s friend invites him to his place after school to play with his new video game.  James says, “Yes”, then remembers Ben.  What would Jamie do?


A. Options:
1. Say no and take his little brother home everyday.
2. Go to Ben’s house and leave his brother at school


What is right or wrong about each option.
Option 1 Say no and take his little brother home everyday. ( Right )
Option 2  Go to Ben’s house and leave his brother at school ( Wrong )


What could be the consequences of each option for everyone concerned
1.Won’t get in trouble because he has listen to his parents
2. Will not allowed to go to anyone's house until he is able to earn his parents trust.


D. Say what values you think lie behind each option and tick those that reflect gospel values -  the values of Jesus.
1.Caring

3. Disobeying


E. Say which option you would have chosen and why.
  1. Say no and take his little brother home everyday because when his brother grows up and is able to walk home by himself.

Summary:

Making Decisions can end up something bad for example, Steve left his brother at school by himself and he went to his friends house to play video games.
