Yay, go Marist!

On Saturday, I went to the Avondale Racecourse. When my family and I arrived, I went with my dad to look for my rugby team. I only saw Mario. He asked me, “Can you give the T shirt to the coach please?” I said “No you give it to him.”

Then the coaches arrived and we ran to them. The coach told us to go to the third field. She told us to run to the bin and back. I was the third one back. Then we did some butt kicks, great vines, high knees and lunges.

Finally, the game started and we kicked off. The other team caught the ball. We kept tacking the other team to prevent them from getting a try. Then we got our first try and I tackled the person with the ball. Then the whistle blew for the end of the first half. The halftime score was 12 to us and 10 to them

When the second half was back on, I was the substitute because Harlem wanted to be the Hooker. While I was watching, some boys were tackling away, one boy ran almost to the try line. Then it was full time and the final score was 22 to us and 12 to them.

I feel happy because we won our rugby game for our coach. I hope we win next week's game as well and stay strong with our defense.

Last Saturday was an exciting day for me and my rugby team because we were versing Waiheke Island. However, we did not go to the island so we just go to Pigeon Mountain rugby field. The rugby field was a huge and there was lots of supports from different teams.

When I got there, I saw only one of my rugby mates and his name is Kenneth. When I got to him I said, “ Are you the first one?” He said, “ Yes .” I said, “Where is the team?” They were in green T - shirts with white and gold collar.

When everyone arrived, we had to run around the massive field and did legs, arms stretches. We also did some pop pass. A pop pass is when you run with a ball to the person in front of you and when you get to the middle, pass to the person.

Finally the game started, Waiheke did the kick - off. We caught the ball then ran as was as a cheetahs. During the rugby game, Mario got our first try for our team. The Waiheke team had a strong defence like a bear. The also know the moves and where we go to get a try. When the first half was finished, everyone was puffing like a train. The final scores for the first half was 10 to us and zero to them.

Eventually, the second half started. The opposite team went straight at us and they got through. They started to get tries one by one. We were thrashed at the end of the game. They won! 34 to them and 20 to us. Our team worked so hard that we still lost that game. We will try our hardest to win next time. I think that the forwards should work on their rucks and maybe it will work next time.

I also need some practice on rucking. I hope that it pays off during our next game. I can’t wait for our next game this coming Saturday.

On Saturday afternoon, I played a little bit of Roblox. I find out that there is an ultimate competition in Roblox. There are 3 games that you have to play. They are called Hide and Seek extreme, Hex and Bot fight. I got a helmet on Hide and Seek extreme and a laser swordpack on Hex.

Than I played Twisted Murderer. I spent all of my robux on Twisted Murderer. Robux  is money that can be used on game passe and to make your character look even cooler. I wanted money for cool stuff on Twisted murderer so I brought a shadow Cloak, Laser, Pewdiepie knife skin and Tesla.

Later on, one of my best friends came on and his username is rugbyking107. He is my school friend. When we played the game, I was the murderer. I was the murderer and I went invisible and kill everyone with the laser. My friend didn't know where I was so I came around the back of him and kill his character.

Then I went offline because I wanted to see if I could watch a movie called Transformers on my Xbox 360. I skipped to the bit where they were fighting in the city. It was about Autobots trying to find the Allspark before the Decepticons come. the Autobots are the good guys and their names are Ironhide, Bumblebee, Jazz, Optimus Prime and Ratchet. My favourite Autobots is Bumblebee. He is a shiny yellow and black car called Camaro.

I wish I had more time to play Roblox and watch more movies next time. I really enjoy the game.

Wow, can you see that cool car?

On Saturday Afternoon, I went for a walk with my nana. I got a drink and got a Hi Chew for my nana and a chocolate flake for me.  Hi Chew is a chewy gum and flake is made out of chocolate. I started drinking all of my drink. When we were walking, my nana spotted a 20 dollar note because it must have been her lucky day.

When we got to Panmure shopping center, my nana needed some pink string from the two dollar shop and the first one that we went to didn’t have any so we checked out the other two dollar shop but they didn’t seem to have any either. The last two dollar shop that was left to try was Fulsun. When we got to Fulsun, I spotted a lamborghini. It was yellow and I was waiting for the owner to say “That’s a cool car!”

After that, my nana took me home and my nana wanted a cuddle my baby brother for a little bit before she left.

I wish I went earlier because I wanted to have a nice long walk with my nana.

Are you an altar server at church?

In the afternoon, I played Roblox until 5 o'clock. I only played the Zombie Tsunami game. I moved up from level 10 to 53 and got new weapon to use for fighting the zombies. I saw a lot of my friends 

playing that game as well and some of them are on level 50 and the rest are on level 100.

When it was 5 o'clock, I went to church with my mum, nana and uncle. When we got to church, I went to the back to see if Aiden was there as well, but he was not their. So I went to the front and I saw Soane. Next, I asked him where Aiden was and he said “He’s not here”. Then I went to the back to wait for Father.

When Father arrived I asked if I could be an altar boy and he said “Yes”. I told him that I was new. I put the altar alb on and Father said that Chris will help and tell me what to do. I had to get the cross and carry it.

Next, I had to go to the front of the church and wait until a man had said the introduction. When he had finished, I walked up slowly with Father and Chris. I did everything that I was instructed to do. After Mass has ended, Father introduced my name and I took Father back to the front. I went to put the cross back and take off the altar alb.

I feel happy because I’m now an altar boy. I want to be an altar server every Saturday.

Make a castle in Minecraft or played Roblox on the computer!

On the weekend, I played games on my Xbox 360. The first game that I played was Minecraft. I build a castle so that no one could kill me. Instead of putting water around it, I put lava instead so that when someone comes I can attack them off the ledge. It took me an hour to build it because it is very big and I put a secret weapon that shoots out arrows.

After I played Minecraft, I played Roblox on the computer. I played Zombie Tsunami first and it is about zombies attacking people. The next game was Super Run 5 . This is a game about running fast and jumping up and down. The last game I played was ‘Wipeout”. It is  like a puzzle where we have to piece objects together.

Than I went on E - ako and set up an online stopwatch. So I can practice my place values for minutes.

In the afternoon, my nana came to pick me up. When I got to my nana’s house,  I played on the swing. Then I played a game that we named called ‘Can you survive?’ After that, I played water fight with Xavier and Eli with our water bottles.

I felt happy because I had lots of fun at home and at nana’s house. I would like to spend more time with my cousins so I might go to my nana’s house earlier next time.

Happy Birthday buddy!

Kevin’s 11th birthday.

At 4:00 in the afternoon, I went to Hoyts because I was invited to attend Kevin's birthday party. I was the first one to get to the movies and my uncle texted Kevin’s mum or dad to see if they were there yet. Then we saw Jayviah, his sisters, brothers and his dad. We waited for all of them to come and they arrived with Chaim and Cheska. Jayviah and I ran to Kevin. I threw a gift to Kevin.

After waiting for Kevin at Hoyts, we asked Kevin’s mum because we didn’t know what to watch so his mum said to Kevin “Do you want to watch The Hunger games Mockingjay part 1", asked Kevin's mum. "Yes", said Kevin.” Then kevin’s Dad went to Mcdonalds to get us some food so we went to the arcade to play some game for now. When I got to the game zone, I saw Chaim and Cheska on the car game. Next I asked Kevin if I can get some coin from him and so i went to the car game after Cheska and Chaim.

The movie was about a girl named Katniss who does not know about the world until she find out about Peter and his Famliy. After playing in the arcade, we waited for a few minutes and then we went to get our food from the chair and our drink. After getting our food, we went to find the cinema that is the number 4 and the word called Hoyts. When we got there, we had to find our seat and we went to the top and we had to sit down on a chair. After finding a seat, we open our food to eat during the movie. Next we watched the movie, my favourite part was the girl called Katniss. She had a bow that had many different arrows and Katniss shot one of the arrow at the plane. It got the plane and the plane went straight to the repair shop.

It was my favourite day because we get to watch The Hunger Games Mockingjay part 1

Have you seen the movie 'How to train your Dragon'?

On Friday, my mum and I wanted to watch something at the movies with my cousin. In the morning we had to check if my cousin was ready so we could pick him up. My mum tried to call his mum but she did not pick up her phone. My mum and I had to get my dad some lunch and that was when they called to tell us that they are at my nana’s house. After we got my dad’s lunch, we went to my nana’s house to pick up my cousin.

My mum said that we were going to the movies at one o’clock so we had breakfast and started playing the game on my Xbox 360. My dad came home to have his lunch at 11:30 and when he finished eating, he took a rest before going back to work. His company is only 5 minutes drive from our home.

When my dad left, we went to the movies. We got the tickets for our movie and some popcorn. The movie that we watched was called ‘How to train your dragon 2’. We had to wait for a bit because they had to clean the cinema before we went in. We went into the cinema and found out seats.

The movie was about a boy who had train a dragon and it was sad because his dad died. Even though his dad passed away, he was able to find his mum.

I enjoyed my time at the movies with my mum and my cousin.

My first loss against Ponsonby Whites!

On Saturday morning , we went to the Ponsonby home ground to play against Ponsonby Whites. We had our warm up for the game as soon we got there, we had to spit the back and the forwards. The forwards had to do some  blow over. The game was starting, Ponsonby Whites had to kick off and we got the ball and started running to get a try. Then  Ponsonby ripped the ball off us and they were getting near the try line.

Next minute, they got a try.  We had to get some try for our team. When Xavier got the ball we told him to pass it to us but he did not. It made us lose the ball. Then it was almost halftime and Sione defended some of the Ponsonby Whites and got a try. They kicked the ball out and we had to do a lineout. I threw the ball in and the halfback kicked the ball to the other end of the field. We tried to chase it but the other team got the ball and passed it along the line to work as a group. They got a try. It was halftime and the score was 1 - 10.

After the half -time,  our coach told us to work as a team because we needed  to win the game. The second half began. The Ponsonby team started kicking the ball and it came to us. My team mate passed the ball to me then a Ponsonby player tackled me and the forwards blew over the Ponsonby Team.  Suddenly, they ripped the ball off my team and they made a knock on. We had a scrum and we had to push the ball back to the halfback and the halfback will pass it. The game was over. The score was 1-10.  Our coach was so mad that we lost against the team that we beat before. He commanded us to do ten push ups as a punishment .

It was a very sad day for our team that we lost.

Have you been to Rotorua before?

In my school holiday, I went to Rotorua with

my mum and dad to have some family time. We had to find our motel called ‘Malones’. It has a spa and it was cool because it kept us warm.  The motel was near the shopping center like and it had The Warehouse, Pak‘n’save, Countdown, Briscoes and lots more.  We took photos of the Maori Waka on Lake Rotorua.

We went to the flea market to buy something for my whole family but we found it hard to buy anything as things things were quite expensive. We went to the skyline and went on the gondola so we can get to the top for a luge ride, which brought us down the mountain. Then we went on a chairlift to go back up for another ride. We went on the luge ride six times with my mum and dad. I always won the race every time.

When we finished from the luge, we took the gondola back down and went straight back to our motel to get changed because it was raining and we all got wet. Dad set the spa for the three of us so we can soak ourselves in the warm water of the spa pool. I enjoyed my holiday in Rotorua.
